Description Out the other day teaching showing students how to shoot digital panoramics and this was one of them.

Made up of a whopping 25 images shot portrait on the 5D Mk II and when flattened and cropped to a 6:1 ratio is weighs in at 1 Gig.

On my blog I have posted the image along with a few images of the amazing detail this panoramic has.

Great shot Matt. This might sell well as a poster for tourists I think!

Yea could do. Maybe sometime in the future. Already got a big enough range of posters for sale. Selling them is easy but getting them into an already saturated market of landscape photo products is hard.

awesome. I've shot with the nikon version. sweet lens.

when you shoot a panorama like this are you just panning across the scene?
or do you move the camera laterally?

I spin the camera on a leveled tripod and a leveled head. You dont need an expensive panoramic head to do this. Just a simple setup it all comes down to leveling.

The detail is indeed incredible! I saw the two additional images on your blog. You can practically see the lamps inside the hotel(?) on the right.
