From what I deduce, retail stores in America are so large in order to cater to the population. Hence Barricade won't hit the ceiling in the pharmacy (he'll probably have to transform into car mode to squeeze through the door, though).
Here in Malaysia, the shops are usually around 2.5 metres high, suitable only for Frenzy (doing shoplifting, I reckon).
