Description She was getting ready to go, the sun made the bathroom look like goldish/redish. No postwork was made on this, except a crop and sharpening.

I had to capture that...
hmm...

2 seconds after I took the pic...
"This won't work" she said.

shit.
What comes quick, goes quick.

I must admit another time that you're amazing. More explaination about that feeling:
This shot is pretty consistent, everything becomes entangled, it's pretty amazing for the first conceptual shot I see from you !
The light from behind means a bunch of things. It means hope for example (for me), but as it is filtered by the shower curtain, this hope is broken. This light also means future and the girl complete this future making it the love future, but as it doesn't fill the entire room and that the girl is a silhouette, it's not going to be lightful with her.

The tiles also, it creates lines that are dynamic (diagonals) which reminds me about the fact that moving forward, make its life, and all the stuff ... But the horizontals and the verticals with the "wall" created by the shower curtain stop this move, and also block the access of the light.

The colors of this shot are also important, it looks like the ones of a sunset, which is (I hope you know it at least ) the end of the day. You can connect it to the end of a story, even though it was short.

About what Rendarin (yay for his comment), it's true. It's kinda weird that it is crisp then fuzzy, but you know the more at the bottom it goes, the more fuzzy it is, maybe a link between that and the fact that this story is falling into blur ?

I know all that stuff can be questionable, but it's about you to pick what you think isn't questionable

More technically speaking I love how you framed this shot with natural elements which are in the shadows - damn makes me think about a bunch of other things like this love story is now confined in a nutshell, and that this nutshell is very dark, so that this story is about to end - and the exposition is nicely chosen, just about in the middle of the different areas, which is nice to have an average lighting.

Humanly speaking, that's sad to hear. I'm really dreary that you don't go better with that part of your life ... I give you all my support If you want more, don't hesitate to take contact man

Rendarin [2007-07-05 14:52:40 +0000 UTC]

The contrast is very interesting but I think it's not very consistent. The backlight behind the curtian creates a nice silhouette (lol FF spell checker ftw) of both the foreground and the person in the photo. It also makes a very nice reflection of the tiles on the right wall.

The harsh light also gives nice crisp lines to the silhouette and the images on the curtain.

Problem, I think, is how there's that nice contrast between light and dark but at the bottom around the floor there's a very slight milky consistency. Well compared to the rest of the picture anyway. :B Also because of the difference in tiles the lines between them appear blurred, very different from the tiles on the wall and the door. It's like, crisp, crisp, crisp, then kind of fuzzy. Which is kind of weird for me :B but that's just me

If that's true, than the photo illustrates a real drama. If you added the description to enforce the mood of the photograph, you're a sad little pathetic attitudinizer. Still afraid that the first is the case.

But I think I've cracked the case...when she says "This won't work", I think she's talking about her clothing, since she's going to the beach. Not sure if this is correct, but just a guess.
