After the events of episode 7 in season 2, David is a little uncertain about his potential as a partner. Luckily, he's got a good friend to confide in and reassure him that he's a good man with a sure future in his love life! I realize this could be seen as "I would make you my husband, ohoho~" but it's more like telling a friend that they'd make a good partner when they're worrying they'll be alone forever. I don't think either of these boys understood this as any sort of advance or flirtation; however, it still speaks for Nate's opinion of David as a romantic man! A high opinion, at that.
