I wanted to create the idea of the rose bleeding it colour out. Either to signify autumn making everything bleed it colour or to show sadness and loneliness.Third in the series.

i hate roses,
they are just a symbol everyone is able to abuse...
they lost their beauty,
but in your photography the whole mystery of this flower came out
you put this sadness and silence and beauty together...

I wasnt sure I had achieve what I set out to here (I think we all have an ideal of what we want it to look like to start with and this wasnt it for me), however it does seem to show where I was going...I may re-run the series.

This could make an awesome alteration to the Valentine's Day cards; maybe that's just me but I find it to be more cool and awesome than a reflection of loneliness (but I am weird like that).
The color bleeding concept overall is really cool though I figure most people will mistake it for just blood. Either way, I love it and the more I look at it the more I get the message.

Wow, okay first of all, all you're work is very striking, in a dramatic way. It's very hard to ignore these pieces.
The second image with the flower:
Again, strong composition, really lovely. I think it's a nice thumbnail, but I really didn't get the whole impact until I saw the large version. There is so much detail. The subtle water droplets add a really endearing quality. While the dark liquid (I can only assume its blood, but I'm not sure exactly) completely makes the composition. It just leads your eye ever so carefully straight down to the pool at the bottom. I also love the subtle color differences and changes you have in the pool. The red curves on the bottom right are a great framing device for the work.
