Submitting this to the first Maximum Ride Lovers Contest (though I'm not exactly sure where to submit this to). So remember those other bird kids that Max and her Flock saved in sewers of NY, these are them. TA-DAH!The "Other Flock"
Consists of: Nyroc Turner-The Leader (Golden Eagle aka Stein Adler)
Halo Byrd-The Beta (Chilean Blue Eagle; in the US it's considered a Hawk.)
Ice-The Oldest member (Barn Owl)
Dagger- (Raven)
Pyro- (Red Tailed Hawk)
Nixie- Pyro's fraternal twin sister (Gyrfalcon)
And Misho- animal member (Pigeon) Mew! :3

Well, first let me just say this is beyond anything that I could do, easily. I'm barely at stick-figure drawing level so seeing this is a kick in the teeth-level shock of impressiveness. I guess. Whatever.
First off, I want to say that, despite being an obviously manga-inspired piece, this is very very CLEAN. A lot of manga based stuff is kinda cluttered and jaggedy, very hard to look at and/or even tell what the hell it is. This is anything but.
Second, I really like how you put what animal the recombiants were crossed with directly on them. Makes it easier to tell I guess, and they kind of remind me of the daemon's from His Dark Materials (one of my favourite books of all time). I know they aren't, but that's the first thing that comes to my mind and that makes me happy.
Negativly...not much I have to say. I wish you'd put a bird by the cat though, because I'm actually really curious what Itex would have crossed its DNA with to make it so it didn't chase itself as prey.

Thank you. I appreciate your critique and yay! My first critique! XD The cat was mixed with what the Other Flock believes to be 3% or 4% Pigeon. Since Pigeons can actually fly pretty high, and their homing ability is phenomenal as well as their endurance in Flight. Thanks again for your critique! You've made me a happy Mangaka. :3

Cat pigeon huh? Makes sense to me. Not to mention they're both epic scavangers. I can see it like, stooping down into a dumpster for fries or something.

Haha! In Chapter 3 of my manga Ascending (not yet released) the Other Flock finds out that Misho came form Nekoshima, Japan (always make references to Japan in a manga) a small Island over run by cats where genetic experiments were secretly being preformed. The cat is less annoying than Total, and he's multilingual, like he's an organic encyclopedia or something.

He sounds like it. I HATE Total. He doesn't really ad anything to the team except comedy maybe, and even then its not useful.

Yes Total was annoying. All he did was whine and wasn't that effective. I might like him more if he had a scottisch accent. those are kewl. But ja, im like Max, Did I want a dog? No. Did I need a dog? Also no. Could I afford to feed a dog? Wait for it--no.
Also Misho becomes a big addition to the Other Flock by helping detect the Secret Police (Erasers) before they attack. He acts as their radar, since cats have superior senses to Hawks or humans or in their case a cross between the two. Birds of prey actually have the same hearing and sense of smell as people.

And also, he has pigeon in him. You ever seen one of those things swerve out of the way of a car? Its like they're omnipotent.

changed Pyro's 2% to Harrison's Hawk! A common bird of prey used in Ireland to keep rabbits and all kinds of nasty pests off the grounds of castles/Inns. Plus I like the plumage, More dark and red like burning embers.
