January 23, 2016 - 11:00amThis was from this morning - before things got bad. . . It has been snowing all day, and probably will not stop until around midnight tonight.
That is snow on top of a small garden table in the back yard. That table is about 24 inches (61cm) high.
I shoveled walkways and around my car for 2 1/2 hours, and now it looks like I did nothing.
But I'm glad I did, because if I had waited until tomorrow, the snow would have been twice as heavy.
My hands are too cold to go out to take any more pictures, and in the back yard the snow is mid-way up my thigh.
Grrrr!

Yes, this was the first time that I had ever used that camera. That film does tend toward a bluish cast.

New toy and Jess's first Weekly Baker's Dozen.I am very excited to share with you all my newest addition! My Voigtländer Bessa R3m w/ 40mm Nokton 1,4. I've just wanted this for a long time and finally saved up enough to get it! Finally a camera that fits my current love for rangefinders and doesn't cost near as much as a Leica! However in my opinion it has some advantages over your average Leica. It has a 1:1 ratio viewfinder, with frame lines for 40mm, 50, 75, 90! My preferred lens for street is about 50mm (most people say 35mm or wider is essential to street, I'm still working on getting a lens for my x series at that focal length so I've been fond of my 50mm equivalent) so the 40mm lens I have on here will sure be fun! Since it's a 1:1 viewfinder it makes the split image focusing somewhat easier to be sharper with because you are 'zoomed in' so to speak. Anyway sorry for ranting about this camera, I am just in love with it! I just shot my first roll yesterday and it was a joy. I'll be developing it myself, however I still

WOW! I love how you shot this in color! Adds that little extra feel. After reading your description I hope your doing ok! Sounds like a lot of work shoveling all that. Great image! Brittney has a fuji instant camera but It's not the wide like this. Very cool Richard!

it seems like the climate is wandering...
here where I live winters used to be full of snow...blizzards and freezing cold (like -30 degrees Celcius)
when i was a kid my father digged tunnels in the snow xD
now this time of the year is not like that at all...
but your pictures show that the winter kind of 'moved' to the other side of the globe

Looks like a mushroom. I too shoveled yesterday and today it was filled back in. But it is easier to shovel two or three times than once. At least for an old man like me it is.
