The character here is Essi, drawn for 's X-note contest
.I have to admit that I'm not satisfied with a lot about this piece, but at least I learned a lot about what and what not to do in my art. I would love to make another piece for this contest (zeiva's characters are so fun to work with!), but seeing as I'm leaving for China tomorrow for a 3-week vacation, that's not so possible. I did have a lot of fun designing Essi's clothes here, though, so I'm glad I did this.
The reason I decided to create an artwork with Essi in clothes based off a queen chess piece is that somewhere in the game demo, some character (I'm tempted to say Yuon) mentions something about Essi being his queen chess piece. Or something. Argh.
I apologize - it's getting late and I still have a crapload of stuff to do before going to China @.@. So I'm sorry for any inaccuracies (I didn't make that whole scenario up in my head, right? Right?!), and wish me luck in the contest
