This one is more than unsettling, it's decidedly creepy. I think there was a film about aliens in the corn once... The reaper in the agricultural setting (even if this is sweetcorn and not the arable fields of old) feels fairly fitting, and the parasol an unusual touch. The black and white works well, as do the very harsh and structural forms of the sweetcorn. I really like it, absolutely excellent. It looks like it comes from a very surreal horror film.

I'm completely captivated by this picture... the figure looks so calm and nonchalant, and yet they're surrounded by an eerie aura that seems to contort the way everything else is interpreted...the sky appears uneasy and the cornstalks, lifeless.
I quite like it (: there's really so much more involved in the picture...the figure looks as though it could be your friend, and yet....
