testing out some stuff to try to figure out how to handle drawing blood anchor as a comici think this process is a little too complicated, but i really like the way it looks, so i guess we’ll see!

So no one's going to make note of the fact that she appears to be crying liquid gold. As in the metal gold. Is that something to do with her being a blood anchor?
Gold must be cheap as hell down there if you can just cry it into existence. Mind you if the only way to get it would be through sad tears that would make for one fucked up economic incentive.

once the comic is out, you'll find out what's up with that! it's not really literal gold, it's more of a visual metaphor for their magic.

aww dang thanks lady! i'm really excited for this project.... i like the sketchbook stuff i've been doing too but i don't think i can do that for the final thing because it's definitely going to be made digitally...

i'm stoked to see the world and stuff, since you usually do one shots it's harder to get that world building in. either way I'm so so so excited to see where you go with this. It seems like the perfect project to try out new things and more stylized art and comics

thank youuuu! im actually planning out blood anchor in chapters so i can make it like my one shots - finish it, then post it, but in this case with each chapter instead of with the whole thing? if that makes sense....

ohman I like that setup WAY MORE. single page updates are just big teases. it gives the reader a better sense of story/flow when it goes chapter by chapter too!!
