Acrylic painting. It is based on my perception that some people on this earth are trapped in the past and can't seem to move forward so they look toward the heavens to lead them. But, this cannot work for anybody; people must be willing to move forward in life on their own! The dark head is just my toying around with different ideas to finish it, but it will change to a lighter color or shade! Thanks so much for your comments and interest!

Thank you very much. I can see how you thought about the possibility of it being influenced by Magritte. I am currently doing a series with covered faces as I would like the viewer to focus on other aspects and possibilities of the overall painting and not be distracted by strange faces. I still have to work on the fabric of the shrouds and the foreground and then it will be finished.Β
