you colored Shadow's eyes blue in this pic when he looks oh-so-much cooler (hotter? :3) with red eyes... why exactly?

Oh, I just heard that Shadow Link is different from Dark Link. In the manga, Shadow Link is given blue eyes with purple hair as you can see from the maga cover, while Dark Link is oftentimes (if not always) presented with white hair and red eyes...
I figured Dark Link would also look cool with the generic black hair and red eyes... and I would also include this in one of my fics! (which I even haven't deepened yet...>.<)
