Personality
Being the inherited owner the Blossom town’s only(?) tavern does not come without consequence, and since so much is expected of James, the 26 year old has been incredibly stressed for most of the life (but that’s not the reason his hair is gray, it’s genetic I swear). A bit of an insomniac, James perpetually tired, even if he insists otherwise. The dark circles under his eyes indicate the days that he’s feeling extra sassy snappy. Though he rarely means anything he snarks, it’s not beyond him to apologize for his behavior (it may just take some time). Above all, James feels like he must always be doing something and rarely takes time for himself or partakes in activities that take a long time unless absolutely necessary(like fishing or mining). At times he may seem calculating, but this is largely a pretense.

On the job James forces himself to be upbeat and interested in patrons of The Blue Mist, doing his best to keep up the friendly atmosphere that his grandfather had so lovingly created for it. While he seems to enjoy the company of others, laughing along with the customers, doing it for a living along with the financial and legal issues of running a business leave him emotionally and physically drained to interact with others when he's not working. He sleeps for most of the day and opens the tavern in the afternoon until late at night.

Sweets - Natural sugars are alright, but James does not have a sweet tooth. Too much sweet leaves him feeling gross.

History
James lived the majority of his life in in the city with a moderately wealthy family. His life was about as average as one could be, he had a mother, a father, siblings and maybe even a couple of pets (fish). He wasn’t picked on in school and he wasn’t anymore rebellious than other teenagers. There was no closet skeleton, no tragic past, or extreme life changing revelation. To be terribly honest, his life has been relatively uneventful.

Every summer vacation since he was able to stand on his own, James’ loving father and mother shipped him off to Blossom Town to spend time with dear ol’ grandpa, the man whom originally owned the Blue Mist Tavern. At first James had hated the crummy town, bored out of his mind because there was so little to do out in the country. Somewhere between the many summers, that initial loathing had subsided into a begrudging indifference.

He was close with his grandfather, and when he received a letter from the elder man about how much trouble he had to keep his business afloat, James, now 25, with the urging of his parents decided to move in with his grandfather to help him out with The Blue Mist Tavern. It has been a year since he had return to his childhood summer home to help his grandfather run The Blue Mist Tavern. As of now he currently works his butt off, until he finds part time workers to help them out. James believes that his grandpa was too generous with the tavern, and seeks to make it more profitable. e.g. upgrades for interior, structure, and overall aesthetics. Seriously, it's so old fashioned in there, they would probably go out of business if they didn't hold the only-tavern-in-town monopoly.

Layout of The Blue Mist Tavern will be posted eventually… Probably after school.

He rolls up his sleeves because he doesn't like to get them dirty.
James is far sighted and has to wear glasses for reading and doing things that require finer details.
