So if you expect him to answer truthfully, he will be, otherwise he would say the same excuse or words over and over again, like "you look nice". He is quite old-fashioned, due to the fact he was brought up traditionally, so he speaks in full sentences and very formal, even when he writes text messages. He finds 'sms language' very difficult to understand.Being brought up in a harsh surrounding, it was natural for him to be sharp and observant towards people, he tends to observe people and pick up patterns and traits unconsciously, through their actions, gesture and matter of speech to identify the type of person they are, quick to be judgemental if the person is not to his liking. If he finds that person to be troublesome, he would try not to associate with them. But once you are considered a 'pass' for him, stick with him a little longer and he generally is quite tolerable, a considerate friend who looks after you and your back, but just with an extra smart mouth. Probably someone you can count on for advices and to tell your problems to.He works hard to meet expectations, after all being the second eldest son, he felt challenged when he gets compared to his brother. [History]Kodama was the second son born in a family that runs a business firm, and being the second child not much was expected from him, since all the expectation was thrown to his brother, Shoichi. It was predetermined that the eldest son would take over the company when he grew up. He had more freedom than his brother, which he quietly felt sorry for him, but this was his family, where the firm mattered more than family.He was an average learner, but he worked hard, despite taking longer route of late night studies but it soon became much easier for him. Expectations was high for his brother, and he could tell his brother was falling apart slowly. He lived behind his brother's shadow, as he often received sympathetic or biased treatment and looks, he often felt judged for the being incompetent to his brother who would grow up one day to take over the company as the successor. From such a young age and experience, that was when he knew how to judge people for what their worth and how they treated him. Growing up in that manner, he could easily slip his way between people he consider good and bad. Despite all that, he is able to maintain a good relationship with both his elder brother and his younger sister, Suzume.Due to the current situation in the family, he has been granted permission to study in the school that he wanted, as long he is able to maintain good results and an average GPA of 3.8. Living away from his family, he only often gets visit from his younger sister, since his parents and older brother is far too busy running the company to come visit. Holding a certain resentment for his first half of the family, he kept quiet to himself and continues to focus on his current school life.
