I've never been much of a floral person, with the exception of roses. I find them fascinating subjects to draw and paint. Fitting all the petals together, subtle shading and such a variety of color combinations to play with.8 X 10 Acrylic on Cotman 140 lb watercolor paper

I like this one! Once, for a sculpture I was making, I had to learn to make believable roses out of sculp;ture clay! It can be done! (The piece was a statue of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, about 4 feet tall.)
