I'll probably add Umbreon and Espeon. Maybe Leafeon and Glaceon but I don't like their designs very much

Umbreon and Espeon really does look strange.
Glaceon too, but Leafeon looks OK for me.

I am a bit of a Pokemon purist. I really like the first two generations best since they're much more cohesive and the designs are pretty consistent. Umbreon and Espeon are very clean designs, and I like them even though they deviated from the original Eeveelution design patter of having something around the neck. I'm not crazy about Leafon and Glaceon because their designs seem too radical. Leafeon is actually pretty decent, though I would've liked more similarity to Flare/Jolt/Vaporeon than to Esp/Umbreon. Glaceon's is pretty ridiculous, the poof on the head and the low hanging sideburns. I don't like it. I'm not crazy about the new Slyveon either. I think it's an alright looking Pokemon but not a good Eeveelution.

The first two gen were the best as it come to the podekom design, I didn't like how they were depicted in other generations, but I must admit, that Emerald has pretty decent gameplay.

As it comes to Sylveon, I have no idea what type it could be, there already is 7 different eeveelutions with different types, the only types left are Fighting (quite possible), Flying (doesn't look like one), Poison (doesn't look like a pure poison), Ground (there would be no sense), Rock (they could do one rock type, but S doen't look like one), Bug (no), Dragon (would be interesting), Ghost (impossible), Steel (interesting but S doen't look like one).

Normal is unlikely, because Eevee is already normal.

I don't say it cannot, but I don't see a method, it cannot evolve through level, because if one would like to have eeveelution, he would have to use a stone, before that level, but flyinng is possible, because origin of tha name is the protector of the forests, there is already grass eeveelution, so flying might be possible.
