The Fog used here is a prop included in the Reality exporter for defining a volumetric material that is used by the Lux render engine. It is a property within a Lux definition. The fog tutorials I have (and all my work on DA) is rendered with the Lux render engine from exporting the daz scene usint the Reality plug-in. preta3d.com/repository/Reality… see page 94 for a description of the reality fog prop. Yes, that is the case. Lux render is free and I think there was an exporter that was free, but I use the Reality exporter which you can get at a reasonable cost. Sorry, but I've not used the default 3Delight in daz...
