I really like the distorted proportions; they give the bodies a lot of speed and time shenanigan effects.

Yeah, the really loose proportions nailed it.
Many artists have a real problem with making their lineart get really stiff when moving into inks. Myself included. But that is one of Dave's strongpoints, so fluid.
