Crazy details and pattern work, awesome!

I had my mind really clear for this one, so it's really different from most my other works. Like if you look at the rest of the series of these drawings the newer ones look more bolder and have less of the patterns going on but more structure to them.

I did notice that, and it was almost like sitting back and watching the style transform with each passing piece I looked at. Whatever you're doing, keep it up because it rocks!

Smoking weed, reading tons of books on philosophy, metaphysics, ancient civilizations, smoke more weed, listen to all sorts of music, and thinking about way to many things not relating to the world outside but inside of me. That's pretty much all I do lol.Oh and looking at tons of art on the internet.

Are you referring my style to being their child?
cause that would be awesome lol.

I'm most interested in the head of the figure. Like what's going on with the two bulging eyes one above the other.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

McCorvey92 In reply to Art-of-Eric-Wayne [2012-02-07 14:15:11 +0000 UTC]

Actually that was random, usually when I start a drawing its just skribbles so when I made the outline for the head I just put the eyes like that and I liked the way it looked so I kept it the way it was.

Art-of-Eric-Wayne In reply to McCorvey92 [2012-02-07 19:00:37 +0000 UTC]

Ah, it starts off as scribbles. You've revealed MORE of your technique. I've often started works in the same way, like a Rorschach test. I'm enjoying your works. Keep it up!

Hah, yeah I never really have ideas of these things they sort of just come from no where. And glad your enjoying them.

Awesome! The shapes of the green parts somehow evoke very strong connotations with Lady Salvia (salvia divinorum) - is there a connection, perhaps?
And I also love the shape of the guy's head Yeah, now THAT'S trippy! And the symbols are great as well: I find them strangely hypnotizing, for some reason.

McCorvey92 In reply to iampagan [2012-02-06 14:13:02 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! No but I think thats an awesome connection, though I haven't done salvia yet. Haha me to I think it flows really well. And I'm glad you like it all I love to see people enjoy it as much as I do.

knight-of-rosubia [2012-02-01 23:18:59 +0000 UTC]

i wonder, do those symbols mean anything to you? I draw symbols too, but they dont necessarily mean anything. i prefer to think they have no meaning at all, yet still convey some message in a way. more like a feeling than a thought

McCorvey92 In reply to knight-of-rosubia [2012-02-02 14:15:56 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm, to me honestly I would feel that its an ancient language lost
to humanity and by this Inner Dimensional Being coming forth
from his home dimension he's bringing back a lost knowledge
of space and time, art and philosophy, and science and spirituality(And of course Language).

McCorvey92 In reply to knight-of-rosubia [2012-02-02 14:17:36 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad to here you say that man,
cause it's also a journey for me as well. Each time I'm working on a drawing I have no clue what the outcomes gonna look like, so I'm kinda just walking in a mist.

knight-of-rosubia In reply to McCorvey92 [2012-02-02 17:33:51 +0000 UTC]

same here. somtimes i have a very vague idea about what im going to do, but usually not, and i usually never know how im going to do it. the drawing im working on now has a sail ship in it, and that was on accident, the shape of one of the lines reminded me of a ship, so i went with it hahaha

McCorvey92 In reply to knight-of-rosubia [2012-02-02 17:52:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I Know what you mean, most the time when I'm starting a drawing I just draw random shapes until I see something come together. Thats when I usually start to put a form and idea into the shapes and build it up from there.

my most recent drawing is really really like that. that's funny. our styles are very different, but the way we go about doing our art is very similar. awesome awesome. so you live in the us man?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

McCorvey92 In reply to knight-of-rosubia [2012-02-03 14:13:09 +0000 UTC]

Yep in Central Florida, its pretty lame cause theres not that good of an art scene over here. All it is really is just contemporary art or folk art, no one really pays attention to whats good or bad art or what takes talent or what doesn't. It's mostly about what looks good in our livingroom kind of thing, so its pretty lame to be living down here.

knight-of-rosubia In reply to McCorvey92 [2012-02-03 22:32:36 +0000 UTC]

not that good here too. i live in a small town dominated by old republican couples and crackheads lol. i mean, a lot of people are good here, but the town has no venue of entertainment or relief from the constant stress of society so a lot of people get brainwashed by television or do bad drugs. And i know i could make money with my art, but this town really doesn't' have the audience i need unfortunately. but pretty soon ill be on the road trying to sell art here and there
