Description My brother-in-art Kojo has been throwing some of his fantastic colors on the LOST drawings I did last spring, and he's been pretty much making a weekly event of it. It's getting to the point where he's catching up to the surplus of images I had for him, so it was time for me to crank out another drawing to keep him busy.

I've been meaning to draw the Freighter Folk for awhile, and what better place to start then tragic time-hopping would-be lovers Daniel Faraday and Charlotte Lewis? Faraday was my favorite addition to a show already stocked with great characters, and Charlotte's trippy time-jumping demise was pretty mind-boggling. Good stuff.

And it just occurred to me that I can submit this to my LOST folder AND my "Girlfriends" theme folder. Bonus!

Speaking of which, Rebecca Mader, who plays Charlotte, is my current choice to play my girlfriend's (also red-haired/blue-eyed) part in the hypothetical movie based on my life, having trumped Amy Adams for the role since she's always too busy attending the Oscars. The part of "me" will be played by Matthew Perry... or it will most likely be Natalie Portman, as she seems to be contractually obligated to appear in every other movie ever produced.

As always, click on the picture or download for a better look. Done with Pigma Micron and PITT pens and Pentel color brush. Look for the color via Kojo someday down the line as I have thrown down the gauntlet.

"or it will most likely be Natalie Portman, as she seems to be contractually obligated to appear in every other movie ever produced."

Ok, this just about killed me. I am glad I'm not the only person who's noticed this.

Anyway, the art!

Man, I love this! Not only is it of characters I love (Faraday being one of my favorite, ever), but it's just so aesthetically appealing. I love the textured background, especially the lighter parts of the ink where it's fading into the page, and the hatching and linework of the characters themselves. Beautiful!

Thanks - I was pretty happy with how this turned out for the most part.

And when I wrote that Portman line in the description, I thought "People will either laugh at this, or back away from me slowly." Thanks for laughing!
