The soft overlay was neccessary because the original image looked very much like that, but my scanner is really crappy. That's the closest that I was about to get it using photoshop.
But thanks for your kind words, and even more for favouriting this. And please, get some sleep - once of my friends was an insomniac, and started thinking that random objects were pop machines.
