Description
It's a fire or flame sprite in an alchemist / sorcerer's lab. I was on quite a roll recently so I tried out a new workflow / method with this painting.Related content

Love the detail on the sprite, and on the books too, you've used the lighting to great effect picking that up.

There are various ways to do easy fire. One is to download those texture brushes, apply it to your picture and then paint over and erase parts to suit your image, another is to find a hi res image of fire, crop it out and then do the same thing. Paint on top of / erase the cropped image. In both cases what you're doing is you're using the texture / photo as a strong reference for how to paint the fire, not to simply "trace" over it.
