Because even alicorn princesses need a night off to relax, eat marshmallows, paint auroras on the sky, and just be sisters for once with nothing getting in the way of that. As long as Twilight remembers the magic to raise the sun in the morning, but she's probably not stressing herself out with the responsibility. Probably.

It's fun to play a bit with light and shadow like this, I made their manes and tails glow in the dark because it looks neat, even though that's probably not what they're supposed to. Well, Celestia's might. I'm pretty happy with how Celestia and Luna turned out, although I could do with a bit of practice with backgrounds. But it's not bad. I'm also beginning to get the hang of Manga Studio 5. Making a starry sky is really easy with that.
