Been posting more of my poetry wips on twitter, looking for feedback.TBH, writing poetry again feels like I've been reunited with an old friend. I've honestly been loving it.
The flower is a bleeding heart. Get it? HEH

Poem for those who can't read my handwriting:
At one point it was paragraphs, essays even.
captivating me with stories, I wanted to know more!
Adding so many details that I sometimes felt bored.
Then those essays turned to sentences
A terse summary, to the point. Something I liked
Yet, lacking key details, something didn't feel right.
Slowly the sentences turned into phrases
Quick and witty with some kind of pun
Always keeping me on my toes wasn't any fun.
Phrases devolved into singular words
"Food, sex, sleep, kiss?"
then even the witty puns I began to miss.
The words turned to silence
accompanied by a cold blank stare
Silence turned to nothing
Because I learned to not care.
Then one day...
Nothing turned to something
as nothing was no longer there.

Same (kinda)! We used to have them in my backyard when I was younger until my father got rid of them. Don't remember why though.
