Looks like the image of a movie poster.
You can see the blur effects of the lens dramatically at the tree... I'd say it's time for a better camera

Mhh, there are lot of things you have to (re)learn when shooting with an DSLR camera instead of a compact camera. All the stuff you should know about. Shutter speed, aperatures, ISO, light, focus, metering, intentional over/underexposure, bokeh (^^), focal lengths, free-hand limitation, flashing, supporting flash, etc... and how all this stuff works together to get an image. Most of those things are auto-controlled by your cam. A DSLR will do this, too, but it's better to know about all that stuff (and shooting in manual mode) if you want to get a shot that resembles that picture in your mind.

I learned (almost) without reading. Just bought the camera. And tried. Thousands of pictures later, I'm still far away from knowing everything or perfectly working with the cam, but I know quite a lot, if you allow me a bit of self-adulation ^^
