thank you! and haha yep, they can definitely sting. i saw some people poking one with a stick, and i couldn't help but think that they were such idiots. i was in palm beach, FL and there were tons washed up on the beach.

Ha, wow. When I visited family out in New Brunswick (yeup, Canadian) the beaches were COATED in Jelly fish and it freaked me out. But those were just normal ones. I think I would've run for the hills if I saw those out

hahah, i have a camp in maine and jellyfish actually wash ashore pretty often (although nothing compared to the beaches in FL, that was crazy). the white ones you can touch because they're not poisonous, and they feel really gushy, hahah.

Oh, really? I did not know that! Thanks, I'll change the description. I did feel pretty bad for them, there were some really tiny baby ones that washed up on the beach as well. :/

aww.. wish there was a way to get them back in the water past the rip tides. Love jellyfish, we get them (not man-o-wars) washing up here all the time.
beautiful shot!

These things make me smile. Because they can cause you so much pain and the Portuguese Man-o-War is just a whole bunch of small jellyfish (except for the top jellyfish, he's pretty big) put together :3
Smart jellyfish. xD
