Description Done! Please read on if you're interested in buying one, I put details past the description!

Comments would be VERY appreciated!

This photo shows the original sculpt strung, the same as the completed pieces will be strung (leather cord with a glass bead, unless requested otherwise)...to convey that this piece hangs nicely for wearing!

It's doooone! This is the piece I'm hoping will appease people wanting to buy my old design "Once Upon a Blue Moon". The previous male werewolf pendant I just mentioned, is a technical nightmare to reproduce and I may be done making them. This piece is still about 99% 3D, close to the same scale (still nice and small!), yet MORE detailed/ up to date. The last design is from 2009, this one is 2012, as you can see the year and initials are engraved on the side of the base. He's also wearing some classic torn werewolf pants for those of you put off by the nudey werewolves with the fur bulge . This is the clay original, completed sculpt made mostly from Supersculpy Firm with a tiny bit of the regular Supersculpey mixed in. I'm still trying to come up with a name for him! I'm titling him "Moonlit Cliff" for now, and may change it. This little guy is meant to be crouching on a rocky cliff, in all his miniature werewolfy glory! As you can see by the photo...I even added the small details of veins on his arms, hands, and feet. My goal was to try to capture close to the same amount of detail as my expensive 9 inch tall werewolf figurine I sometimes sell (limited edition, and may be done making them due to difficulty/time). This little guy should be easy enough to cast where I won't have to stop making him...I HOPE, but I stop making pieces when I tire of a design, so not all of my pendants will be available indefinitely. He has five human digits, plus a dewclaw...this is my preference for my werewolves to make them more monster-like and a little less anthro/furry style (just trying to be different!). I realize humans have five fingers/toes, and wolves have four toes ....I look up references before I sit down to work on something for hours and hours. but here he is! i hope you guys like him! I'm very happy with the end result and will be making a mold this week...resin should be arriving any day too!

I'll be accepting at least a COUPLE pre-orders at this time from anyone interested. The only reason I'm limiting it for now is I'm very busy prepping for the Renaissance Fair (April 7th-May 20th), and don't want to bog myself down with online business that will also deplete my stock for the fair . But I also need money for the fair, to gas up my car, eat, etc..lol...so I'm accepting a few sales (2- or 3 approximately...maaaaybe 4 depending how easy or hard he casts)

Pre-orders will work like this: I ordered resin last week, and have silicone on hand to make the mold. I need to mold, cast, and paint wash each piece to complete it (well one or more molds..then each casting needs to be completed). Pre-orders (at the latest) will be shipped next month before I run off to ren fair (sometime during April, probably early April before the 7th). Just comment here or note me if you're interested! Finished pieces are cast in a solid, STRONG (almost unbreakable) polyurethane resin, and I do a nice paint wash in various colors, then clear coat to finish 9paint washes work best for durability and bring out the details in a nice stylized way!). Please check out my gallery for various completed designs that I also sell . I'll be charging $30.00 per pre-order plus $5.00 shipping anywhere in the world, I accept Paypal.

Thanks so much for the kind words . Yeah it was a bit tricky, eyes on this scale are the hardest! Mainly just trying to get them symmetrical.

i tried doing something like that a couple years back and failed miserably, you must have surgeon like stable hands and a lot of patients todo that

Wow! The amount of detail in such a small piece is astounding. I should get better sculpey, if I attempted something like this, it would warp in my hand due to warmth.

Thanks! XD

Yeah, give Supersculpey Firm a try! it holds detail really well. the only thing is it can crumble a little, so usually I add a tiny bit of regular supersculpey to soften it. I usually work by stick my figure to a base though while I work, that way my hands aren't damaging/warping it .

Kool I'm really inpressed with the detail on it. How long did it take to make?

Meadowknight In reply to James-Dark-Blue-Wolf [2012-03-28 21:07:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks .

It took a few days to sculpt the original..working on it off and on. And only cause I've done werewolves before, so they're a little easier for me now. This piece is a LITTLE difficult to cast due to all the detail...but I now have a pile of castings to go through and clean up before paint washing them . the entire process takes a while when you include molding, casting, post casting and painting work @_@. Which is why I have to charge at least $30.00 per completed pendant.

Werewolves have been my favorite monster for yeaaaaaaaaaars, but seems like they're REALLY popular now. I'm hoping to get a lot of sales on this design, the first one sold loads but it was too technically difficult to keep casting...it is a lot of hard work, and currently it's my only income, so the more sales the better. I hope he sells well at ren fair coming right up .

Thanks .

Please read the last paragraph in my description for details . I have castings done now, so I'll be selling pre-orders over the next couple weeks...but it will take a little time to get them together to ship, so the sooner you order the better as I'm about to get busy with ren fair.

Welcome!

I'll probably be selling out at ren fair, but if I don't have anything available April 5th- May 20th, I'll replenish my supply after May at least.

what sight do you use to sell these?

Meadowknight In reply to AngelfyreDarkWolf [2012-03-28 21:03:15 +0000 UTC]

Hi!

Please read the last paragraph in my description for details . I sell these privately off here through paypal (which I prefer), and I'll be listing them on etsy soon. Etsy fees rack up quick though, so I prefer private transactions through paypal (paypal protects the customer just as much as etsy does/would so it's still safe/legit). This is my etsy shop but I don't have everything that's available posted here. I also may be closing my etsy shop for two months starting April 5th because I'll be selling everything at ren fair and my stock will be constantly fluctuating. [link] So if you'd like to pre-order this pendant now, I can ship it before or after the first weekend of the fair before I get too bogged down and sell out . Just shoot me a note if you like or reply back here.
