Description MGS-videogame : Raiden (cyborg ninja?)
-----------------------------------------------

Anyway, here goes nothing, Raiden's BJD story is quite interesting, I'll make it short so you don't loose interest, one day I was about to get the "Chiron Centaur" from SoulDoll [link] and a friend called home, by the time I got back from the phone the doll was SOLD-OUT (and has being like that since that day).
So I took my money and I looked up for alternatives, among them there was this "little cyborg girl" from Impledoll called "Heloise - IM Robot-3 (LE100)" [link] and her design was a evident ripoff of MGS-Raiden ninja [link] but "female", ok, so I had the money and I couldn't buy the doll I wanted, so I brought her home.
But after her arrival I discovered they sent me 2 pairs of hands just the same because one hand had a broken finger (I fixed the hand anyway so I had more hands on my stock), I used the completed and good shaped Eloise doll to try to mimic some Raiden features more closely, but I discovered a big flaw, "Raiden has no boobs".
I was somewhat bother because I didn't want to sand the chest of a limited edition doll that only had 300 units made worldwide, and the dark black blushing I wanted to use just keep on scratching on the usual places (joints), so I had this idea, I was going to re-cast a new body from my Eloise original body in BLACK RESIN, that way I could destroy the body all I wanted for modification and simulate battle damage, PLUS, I could stop worrying about the paint on the joints. And so I did.
I was looking for a Raiden look more like 'wounded', skinny, like someone sick (after all he lives in the war and his body was literally ripped off leaving only half on his head and his spinal cord, that's not a way to go). I want to give him the look like he was damaged, inside and out, not so much as the glorious scenes we usually see when he is killing like 30 Metal-Gears in a row...and I think I got it just right.
This process took me like 3 or 4 years of deciding 'what to do', but overall now I think is worth it. The recasted Raiden in black resin has the original Eloise head and the spare hands fixed by me, wile the original Eloise Iple body went to cyber-Miku-Sama (Vocaloid) because Miku usually takes the recurrent theme of puppets, mechanic dolls and cyborgs from electronic music so often than just seemed right...
Nor come to think the original Eloise might have being also a very nice "ALITA battle angel" [link] ...but I'm just not fan of that character. Maybe I will work some more on Raiden later but over now that's it.

Hope you like him at least a bit.

Heh, I may not be into dolls but when people make stuff like this it's impressive. Resin casting seems pretty difficult.

The expression in the left photo somehow brings the MGS4 Act 4 Briefing scene to mind, which was pretty unsettling...
I think it's the eyes. He looks like he wants to kill you but also is kinda sick.

I looked at that but something about the pose here is creepier.

Thanks!, is still a sort of "work on progress" at this point I should fix some things still is quite similar to the idea I had in mind...

None of my drawings ever turn out exactly how I want them to so yeah, I get what you're saying.
This is still really good though, you're welcome.
