Overview: At face value, Tazlin is the 'knight in shining armor' type: Protective. Dutiful. Reliable. He often appears in the right place at exactly the right time and he's very serious about it. Rarely shall a smile be cracked unless he is actually proud of himself, or trying to bring a smile to someone else's face. To make others happy, he is willing to sacrifice anything and everything. His personality, at times, is a little contradictory - he may say one thing and then another, but often this is just him trying to sort his own thoughts.

But if Tazlin doesn't like you, he's a completely different dog. As good as he is at being a hero, he is equally adept at playing the villain. This reveals Tazlin's more judgmental, manipulative, and unforgiving side. Still, he is not the type to let a dog suffer needlessly nor beyond the appropriate level of discipline; so he'll still come to a rival's rescue. After all, they need as many dogs as possible to dedicate their lives to Zonje.

One would think being raised in the desert would acclimatize you to the heat; but it was this exact thing that drove Tazlin and his family to the Ascended. A severe drought, more specifically. Though the journey that started as a means to save lives came at the cost of his mate's.

Before that, Tazlin headed a small band of roving bachelors. They basked in the early dawns and evenings of Zonje's light, keeping to the shade during the hottest points of the day. They're lives were far from easy, mainly spent scavenging on the fringes of oases, each one of them in denial of the starvation and hardships that would one day catch up with them. But he was younger then. More tenacious than he is now, though he is still far from what anyone would call 'old'. At the time he lived life day-to-day. No thinking ahead. No worrying. No planning. It wasn't until after he met Ari, another desert wanderer, that he began looking to the future. After giving up the bachelor pack and settling down with Ari, Tazlin's health improved. They worked together, not in competition with one another, and eventually the pair was blessed with a litter of pups. Of that litter, Zonje took all but Vukan . For whatever reasons, Vukan managed to survive the trip to the Ascended alongside Tazlin, and remains in the dedicated and sometimes tough care of his father to this day.
