Description
This is Sphenophorus striatopunctatus, a beautiful weevil, which is on the decline in my country. I found it on the same day I found the not-quite-so-regionally-extinct Meloe cicatricosus . There's something really elegant about it, quite possibly the snout.
It's found more frequently in the east section of my country, which makes things a bit difficult if you're from the west. Come to think of it, a lot of very interesting insects are found there.
