About 3 years later...or 4? I decided to paintover one of my old paintings. It's interesting noticing the decisions I made back then, I think this version is better... My painting technique has certainly veered into a more precise approach. Anyway. Enjoy!old version - I have no idea what I was thinking with that face...- [link]

Subtle changes but a great improvement.
Dangerous to fix your old work, isn't it? Intoxicating to see how easily you can fix old problems now, but easy to lose a lot of hours doing it, because you'll want to do it more.

I love it when artists do this, it's always so interesting to see how much their process changes, and they improve over the span of a couple of years. The new version definitely looks better, all the choices seem to make more sense. Great job.
