Description
My first totally digitally-created image using The Gimp. This was a lesson in learning the program, since all I know is Paint on the computer. I think I have a handle on a good number of tools... I'll keep trying some more.Happy holidays to everyone. I just wanted to make a winter picture and play with GIMP. I used a total of 8 layers... and the trees are all on the same layer, ha.

Hm, clarification.
I've done digital work before, but only in Paint. Most of that stuff is in my Scraps, because it's usually backgrounds or little things.

I wasn't talking about the coloring at all, I was talking about the drawing bit.

Ah, ok. Now I'm just confused. But ok.
It really irks me that I can't find or GIMP doesn't have shapes or lines (like Paint does). I was really frustrated trying to draw the fairy, because I've gotten into the habit of drawing the anatomical proportions first with shapes, and it was very hard to do with GIMP. If anyone knows where to find shapes or lines in GIMP, please let me know!

Yeah, I don't know anything about GIMP, but PSP does have lines and shapes and stuff, so I would think its competition would also...
