Puerto Rican actor and producer Benicio del Toro (here in his role from Sicario), done in Faber Castell Polychromos in white and black on Clairefontaine Carb'on paper.

This one took me a while. I had just finished my first white-on-black drawing and also re-watched Sicario, so I was pretty motivated to do this drawing and we started out reasonably well. But then I got distracted and sidetracked into various other projects and poor Benicio was somewhat forgotten, although never quite completely so - whenever I was in the mood for drawing, but too lazy to start something new, I took him out again. So after a couple weeks of this irregular on and off work, he is finally finished. I loved the harsh lighting in the reference and the stark contrasts it creates, but the scope and sight of his rifle were a pain to draw, since the angles of both were so awkward that even in the reference photo they looked kind of off. Well, I certainly managed to copy that...
