Today was such a beautiful day! Temps in the low 50s, snow melting, my window opened, cats happily perching on their ass to view out it in silence... But according to weather forecast, Wednesday is gonna be in the mid 20s...and snow. -_-'

Alright then, decided to attempt snow once again. (Previous attempt: meekochan.deviantart.com/art/W… ) Same ref, different software. Second attempt at using this software. I imagined something soft and painterly.

I do like the softness here but...way more ctrl+z pressing than I prefer. >_<

I seriously had no idea WTF I was doing. The initial sky color kept changing from light to dark then back to light to something else... (And I didn't even change the selected color!) Then I couldn't figure out how the various tools I picked worked with layers. (Low opacity black turning silvery and completely opaque?!) Towards the end, a tool with white selected kept painting nothing...I decided it made sense (it was one of the watercolor tools) but...minutes later it painted at 100% opacity even though its opacity wasn't set to like 28%... *rubs her head* Does that make sense to you?

But that aside, I manage to get something somewhat decent looking. Somehow.
