Description It looked colorful so I decided to try it. >_<

Spent more time on the water than I prefer, but it's still rushed cause I had to get the rocks done too. Was lost at the rocks. I tried different ways to color them but still didn't figure it out at the end. Any suggestions? (Aside from custom/textured brush...not into those. Not even sure if ArtRage allows that.)

I really like this. It's not smooth and polished, but it does hold a lovely sense of movement and energy! I think you have a strong sense of color!

Oh wow this is beautiful! Very interesting technique and love the tiny spots of colour. Personally I would blend it a bit more (especially in the water area), however this is really lovely!

I absolutely love this! I am not one of those people who can use broad strokes to make a good looking painting, but I love it when someone can pull it off well. I also love the colors you chose. my only suggestion is to vary hard edges and soft edges. This image has mostly soft edges! If you sharpened up some of the edges of the rocks, it would make it contrast nicely with mist from the water.

Beautiful colours! I like the traditional look of those brushes.
As for rocks, that's something I've been trying to figure out myself, it's tricky not to get it looking too smooth. I think the trick may be, as =Siriah mentioned, to not be afraid of having sharper edges, and divides between light and dark, both in the overall silhouette of the rock and over the surface. Something I've really got to practice myself, though!

Thanks! ^^

I think I got on the right start getting the basic colors down on the rocks but as you and Siriah said, needs some sharpness. Thought a grainy tool was the answer but when I tried that it was a fail...ended up painting over it. >_<

I think the water came out looking nice. As for the rocks, they probably just need to have sharper edges (not just on the outside, but internally as well) to make them look more jagged.

Something so obvious, yet it didn't cross my mind. At all. >_< Thanks for your suggestion. ^^

I love seeing artwork like this that looks like it's painted in real life but is in fact done using a tablet. Very nice.

I love the texture and colour of this, you've really used the ArtRage tools to the best effect (:

Thank you. o.o

Initially I thought it looked too sloppy, but now that you mentioned the texture and tools... *still needs to get used to not blending everything smoothly*

I think that's the good thing about ArtRage though - you don't need to have a super refined edge to create something that looks wonderful. (:

I think it looks nice. I honestly wouldn't know what to suggest when it comes to rocks. I will say that I think the ones with more color in for foreground came out a little nicer than the ones further in the bg.

Thanks. ^^

Hrm, if the rocks look like rocks, I guess what I did worked then. I was afraid they might look plastic/smooth due to lack of texture.
