So this is Zeake and his Mistress, Fox. She's in a good mood as per usual, I'm sure they're on their way to a lovely water hole to celebrate. He's so oblivious to her moody outburts, he only sees the beautiful mare with the heart of gold that nearly every other horse seems too overlook

Hah! It just occurred to me to see how long they've been together (according to artworks) since July '08. Isn't that beautiful

Now everyone go show her some love. <3

Holy god. This is insane. I'm going to die...not really...but seriously I am because this is so gorgeous. You must have been planning this piece for awhile now, because it looks like it took an insanely long time to do. Ok, where to start?? I love that Fox's face is so angry, that's the first thing I noticed. She's got like this bitch face going on and Zeake just stays by her side with his little sweet face. I love that. I love their unbalanced relationship. Second, I love the poses. THE POSES. They somehow convey their personalities so well. Fox's looks rigid and ready to run and Zeake's looks so calm and shy. I love that they are walking together, they go along so well together. I could go on and on about all the things I love but I'll sum the last ones up: the shading, the wisps of hair, the grass, the line art, it's all so good.

Thank you so much lovely Amelia. You are more than awesome and loving. I so dearly love this. I should print it out and put it on my wall.

Oh! and p.s. I didn't party hard at all. I did the same thing as I'd do any other day, stayed home. haha! But it was a good day and I enjoyed it! Shh but don't tell anyone... I am a party animal! :B

Haha! Everything you're pointing out is exactly how I wanted to portray it! This makes me epic-happy I love that you love their completely unbalanced relaionship, I think it's quite comical but also adorable at the same time hahaha! I wanted originally to make it look like Fox is the one watching out over Zeake because I imagine he is so oblivious to seasoning mares that he doesn't pick up on it, but Fox can sense them 10x miles away and gets the bitch on, like how it sort of shows in the picture. "Come near me and my Zeake and you're asking to be double barrelled", always has a warning face on
So yes, rigid and ready to bite quite readily I would say

The best part is that you love everything I was consciously working on; looks like my efforts paid off a little bit.
