    Lucas paused, midstride. He squeezed her hand then slipped his arm across her shoulders, gently pulling her close against him as they stepped out into the cool autumn night. Who knew? Maybe every year could be....

    He kissed her cheek.

    “Ya got me there, Pey.” The motorcycle was just ahead and he pulled his keys from his pocket and spun the ring on his finger. “I’m already wishing every Halloween was like this.”

    Peyton gave him an affectionate grin. "Me too…"

    Maybe it could be…

Following a flirtatious summer, skirting around the their feelings, a rude introduction to a jaded Ex, and a handful of dates, Lucas and Peyton decided to go steady and see where things would lead. With Halloween approaching, Lucas made plans to take Peyton out in honor of his favorite holiday. After donning skull facepaint and spooky-themed clothes, they checked out a spooky movie at the theater and enjoyed the Raccolto-famous haunted corn maze.

Heart-to-hearts and good times were had for both of them before their Halloween Date, but it was while out celebrating like a pair of teenaged hooligans that Peyton and Lucas each realized their mutual hope that their antics could become an annual tradition for years to come...

Who knows what the future holds for them? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain, neither of them will be forgetting their Halloween Date any time soon.
