...it must be gengar's doing.I was going through my folders and found a half-done sketch of Lucas and I felt like turning it into a full portrait. For as cheery and gregarious as Lucas is, he's still a gengar totem, so I thought it fitting to paint him up with a bit of spookery. This piece was also an exercise in values. Hehe, I love my ghosty boy! Hope you enjoy it too. (Also, for anyone who cares the patches on Lucas' jacket are all pokemon puns. There's the Dropkick Mankeys, ARC EUS, Violent Fennikens, and The Staryu Quo.)

Ahhhh Thank you so much Wiree! I'm so happy to hear you like it. I really wanted to go for something on the more ominous side, just because Lucas is often so upbeat and welcoming I thought it would be fun to explore his more impish, scary traits too. I spent a lot of time playing with textures in this piece, trying to go for something that was more "grunge" looking than my typical work. Thank you again!

it's always SO nice when you can just like an artwork and be proud of it! I know I've been struggling with that lately. it definitely looks like a lot of love was put into it, so be as cocky as you want
