Faction/Occupation: Disciple / Seele Chief of Police

Sybal Form: አራት አዳኝ // Arat ādanyi // Four Hunters
Naserain’s Sybal is the size of a large Great Dane, with a muscular build and powerful jaws. Her oversized ears are highly sensitive to sound, and her sense of smell is acute. She is a talented jumper and can get herself into surprising places by athleticism alone. Most of her fur is short, except for her chest and back, which sports a thick mane.
Sybal Power: Naserain can make three identical copies of herself. The copies can go off away from her, but they do not have a consciousness or personality of their own. She mentally controls all three, the copies are just an extension of her. If they leave her, she cannot see what they see, but she can mentally call them back to herself and when they fuse with her she gains their memories. If a copy is destroyed or compromised before it can reach her, she has no way to access the lost memories. Naserain can give the copies relatively complex instructions. They have a basic self preservation instinct; if they are attacked they will defend themselves, then run to safety without direct instruction from Naserain. The only way to tell the real Naserain apart from her copies is that the copies cannot speak. To compensate for this, Naserain has a habit of not speaking much at night, so others have a hard time guessing if she is the real Naserain or a copy.
Personality: Naserain is enigmatic, practical, and unflappable--with a strong survival instinct. Personal independence and autonomy are two things she values very highly. She loves working with her hands and thrives when she is facing challenges. She likes to stay busy and expects the best from herself. She can get bored easily, and can be something of a thrill-seeker. In the past she was prone to engaging in risky behavior However, her many years in the city have taught her the significance of self-discipline and she’s nurtured this trait within herself. She is dedicated to her job.
History: Born in the Kingdom of Aksum, Naserain was the daughter of an ivory hunter. When she came of age she entered into an arranged marriage to a man who was abusive to her. She was unable to bear children and his abusive behavior increased. Naserain feared for her life and ran away, changing her name three times as she fled from her husband. Upon entering the Sybal Heim Naserain was feral--at night the Aksumite woman would make copies of herself and together with the “pack” she would flee irrationally from anyone who tried to get near her. She chose to invest in various types of Sybal therapy and gained full control of her Sybal. In her first hundred years in the city, Naserain had many jobs. She was waitress, a bookbinder, a market vendor, and a rickshaw driver. One job in particular helped her find her niche in the Seele Police department; working as a lawyer’s secretary--however she didn't keep that job for long. While she liked being able to help people and serve justice, she had no desire to be a lawyer. The work of lawyering felt too static to her, passive in a way. Waiting for someone to bring problems to her rather than seeking them out and solving them herself. From there, she enrolled as a student at the Ludus and worked her way up to participating in Met tournaments. Her Met career gave her the opportunity to rub shoulders with police officers and reminded her of the satisfaction she found from serving justice. Naserain began taking volunteer deputy positions with the Seele Police, which led to her becoming a full-fledged officer. She climbed through the ranks of the Seele Police Department and Buvalu appointed her the Chief of Police in 1393.

-She has a scar that runs from her cheekbone up through her eyebrow onto her forehead. The scar was the result of an overconfident mistake she made in her early days as a rookie officer. (She has other scars: on her back, arms, stomach and legs. Some acquired before she entered the city, some as prizes from the Met, and some from her service in the Seele Police force).
-As a Met Fighter, she specialized in hand-to-hand combat. She is also particularly skilled with a shotel sword and with a bostaff.
