I got stuck in the past today…I remembered so much but the feeling was almost gone.
I remembered the sand beneath our toes,
And I remembered how you would wrinkle your nose.
I lived in the past today…
I remembered the day we rushed into the waves,
And I remembered the time we licked away our chocolate craves.
I remembered your smile spreading over everything it did touch.
I remembered the way you meant to me so much.
I loved in the past today…
I still meant the words I did say,
And I spent my life thinking it away.
I got stuck in the past today…
