Description
Nakar spent the rest of the day walking the land and processing what happened. He couldn't understand why everything went wrong. First Kiara rejects him, not to mention hit and humiliated him too. Then his parents take Kiara's side and make him out to be the villain. On top of all of that, his own mother took away his royal title and is making him re-take lessons on how to be a King if he ever wants to be one. This was the worse day Nakar has ever had.

The sun was starting to set against his wishes. The sun setting meant he had to go back to the den, which means he'll have to face his Pride who was probably informed by his parents what happened today. But Nakar didn't want to sleep outside so he made his was back home. When he arrived, there was no one outside. Which isn't unusual for this time of day, but that means they were all inside, most likely discussing everything. Nakar wondered if his Pride would be outraged about his parents decision or if they'd be happy. No, they couldn't be happy about this. They all loved him. They listen to every word that came out of his mouth and they would go get him whatever he asked for. Someone who hates you wouldn't do that.

Nakar's thoughts were interrupted when he spotted someone come out of the den.

"Nakar! There you are. I didn't think you were coming home." It was Nakar's little brother, Behm. He had a big smile on his face. "You're going to miss out on dinner if you don't get in here."

Nakar was thrown off. He didn't think that was going to be the first think Behm said to him.

"I'm guessing you had a successful hunt?" Asked Nakar.

"Yeah we did! We were able to take down a water buffalo. It took us a while getting it back here, but it was definitely worth it."

Nakar hummed and nodded his head. "That good squirt."

Behm's smile was replaced with a concerned frown. He made his way over to his big brother. "Is something wrong? You seem off. You're not your usual self."

Nakar inhaled deeply. Behm must not know what happened. That somewhat eased his nerves but not by much. "It just been a long day. Nothing went right."

"Oh! I forgot Kiara was coming here today with her parents. Did they cancel the trip?" Asked Behm.

"No. I was reject." Nakar paused for a few seconds. "I just don't understand. How could she reject me? No one has ever rejected me before! All the lionesses I've shown interest in have gladly been with me. They couldn't say no! But her, ugh, she's the only one. I swear Behm that girl is so stupid. She doesn't know what she's missing out on."

Nakar stopped his rant. He didn't want his parents to hear anything he was saying. Who knows what they'd take away from him next.

"Why did she reject me Behm?"

"Maybe because she hates you and always has."

"Excuse me?" Nakar was shocked once again.

"She's never liked you Nakar. She hates coming her because you're here. She'd rather talk to some dung beetles than talk to you. You can't tell me you didn't see
this coming."

Great, now his little brother was on Kiara's side. Why couldn't someone see what she did was rude and idiotic.

"What I absolutely didn't see coming was the hit she landed on my face."

"She hit you? That doesn't seem like Kiara at all. She'd never do something like that unless she had a reason." Behm stared at Nakar. "What did you do."

Nakar told his side of the story again.

"She had every right to hit you. I don't blame her at all. I can't believe you'd talk to her like that Nakar. This is why she's never liked you. You always put yourself first and at the top while you push everyone underneath you."

Having his parents scold him early hurt Nakar, but having his little brother do it feels even worse. Nakar loves Behm more than anything in the world. He want to be a role model for his little brother. Someone he could admire and look up to. But hearing this from Behm made Nakar question some things. If Behm was against him with this, he must've did something wrong.

"You would've done it differently?" Ask Nakar.

"Absolutely!" Shouted Behm. "I can't believe acted that way. If you ask me, it was about time someone put you in your place, and I'm glad it was her. Nakar, you've always ignored everyone else's feelings. Maybe if you didn't boast about yourself every 5 minutes, Kiara would've accepted you as a friend years ago."

Nakar sat in silence, thinking over everything his brother said. He would never tell Behm this, but Behm was better than him at somethings. Apparently this was one of them.

"I guess I was a cheeky bastard." Said Nakar.

"A bastard. I'd say no. But cheeky? Oh yeah one hundred percent."

Nakar laughed at Behm's response. "Great Kings, I really messed up today."

Behm nudged Nakar. "Yeah. But, food always makes everything just a little bit better. Lets go eat before we only have scraps to chew on." Behm lead his big brother back to the den. "Oh, guess what. Mom and dad told me i'm going to start taking new lessons in a couple days with you. Do you know what lessons they are?" Asked Behm.

"You'll find out when they start. But just know I'll be better at them than you." Said Nakar as he ruffled his brother's hair.

"Not if I can help it. I gotta be better than you at something." Behm tried to get Nakar back by ruffling his hair but he was much shorter than his older brother.

Nakar playfully pushed his brother away. Behm laughed and ran inside the den to eat.

Nakar waited a few seconds before following him.

"Maybe you'll be better than me." Nakar thought with a slight smile.

He made his way inside, still dreading the look one his parents faces and what the Pride has to say.
