Coming after Goombas are Koopa Troopas. They have variants, they have shells, and that's all there is to it. Koopa Troopas
- Turtle-like beings that have shells that they wear. Green ones go anywhere, red ones always look down and turn around when they spot a ledge, blue ones can kick their shells at anyone they spot, and yellow ones can get inside their shells and start charging at them.
- As you can see, the Koopa Troopas remain the same as they were, same applies to the Paratroopas and Beach Koopas.

Heavy Koopa Troopas
- Heavy versions of Koopa Troopas. These guys are quite bulkier and heavier than their not-so-heavy counterparts, their shells are very sturdy, and their shells can break through walls without any issue. However, one downside about them is that they are quite slower than regular Koopas.

- These guys are what they look like without their shells. These guys are quite useless without their shells, as they get stomped on like Goombas. However, some of them have access to drive cars.

Thuggish Koopa Troopas
- These Koopas can be quite thuggish and are rough and tough, and also, these guys can pack a punch. The color varieties of these Koopas are purple, orange, cyan, and brown. The strength of the Thuggish Koopa Troopa depends on the color of the variant.
- This Koopa variant is based off of the designs used for the enemy Koopa Troopas from the early Paper Mario games, of course, so there's that.

Shellcreeping Koopa Troopas
- Female Koopas that resemble a certain origin of the Koopa Troopas. These gals usually walk around, but when they spot someone, they run up to them and either bite them with their teeth or jump into them and hold on to them. However, they can be knocked down, but if they weren’t knocked down a second time, they’ll jump out of their shells, flip them over, go from green to purple and continue moving faster than before. If they flip their shell again, they’ll turn red, their fastest state.
- This Koopa variant is basically a modern take on the Shellcreepers from the Mario Bros. arcade game, except only female. Figure that one out if you will.
