The actual title for this is actually 'Race for the Goddess Armor: Prologue'. But I couldn't pass up making that pun.

This is basically a title page for a second short story I'm working on featuring some OCs here on DA. Summary is below.

Following their adventure in DayBreak City, Selena and Miyuri were ready for a little break. After watching a Dragon brawl with a Goddess, the pair were ready for a slightly more down to Earth case.

Unfortunately, there was an unresolved thread hanging from the DayBreak City fiasco: Selena's mark, the renowned criminal Alleycat, had escaped with a mystical item known as the Shroud of Nigh'Thie, an artifact that allowed its user to pass through solid objects. Viewing a cat burglar chase as exactly the type of case to unwind with, Miyuri offered to accompany Selena on her hunt.

Meanwhile, Alleycat herself had a new goal in mind. After escaping DayBreak City, she was approached by a young girl with long, silver hair and a penchant for...possibly unethical scientific practices.

Knowing that the two do-gooders were after Alleycat, the girl made her an offer: Steal the technology she required and provide her with two 'Testing Samples', and she would be rewarded with the 'Armor of Razor Claw', an ancient combat armor worn by a warrior goddess. Accepting the offer, Alleycat departed.

To facilitate their trap, the silver-haired girl contacted Miyuri and told her of a dire situation: Alleycat intended to rob the LlamTech Robotics Facility located in the city of Netec. Fearing what Alleycat could do with the certainly 'legal' tech LlamTech was know to produce, the pair quickly headed for Netec.

Unfortunately, it quickly became obvious the girls had walked into a trap. Upon entering the facility, Alleycat separated the pair and chloroformed them both. As the pair slowly woke up, they found themselves tightly trussed up and gagged, stuffed in a large shipping box.

As the realization of their situation set in, Alleycat let loose a hearty chuckle, taunting the pair about their peril. With Miyuri's sword slung on her back, Alleycat bid the pair good tidings on their trip to the laboratory as she slowly closed the lid...
