Yes, I know I said I'd upload this as one big file, but I just can't
I'm ALMOST done part 2 and three. I AM gonna get this done before ANYTHING ELSE!
So, what is it? Well, remember a little while back I animalized *TheLastUnicorn1985 's Les Misérables OC Nina?

YEAH! I LOVE THAT CHARACTER SO MUCH I DECIDED TO MAKE A COMIC OF IT!!

So this comic is going to basically be about Valjean and Cosette's time in the Convent... they have about 9 years to just chill and live their lives in safety...
Valjean, after meeting Nina... is umm...
Ok, BOTH are drawn to Cosette; BOTH have paternal feelings, but then they BOTH kinda start to... have feelings for each other... They don't even know if they should
lolOne line in the book really feeds this emotion for Valjean:
"Jean Valjean had never loved anything; for twenty-five years he had been alone in the world. He had never been father, lover, husband, friend."
Yeah! I mean, he bloody nearly had a heart-attack out of excitement and overall bubbling FEELS when he first adopted Cosette; that punch-in-the-gut feeling that's like, "Omg I'm gonna be a dad
" lolAnd now, ANOTHER FEELING! Another form of love he never felt in all his life! You gotta put it in perspective: HE NEVER HAD ANY KIND OF LOVE IN HIS LIFE! All this goodness to him is COMPLETELY new!
So, he's praying for guidance on what to do... he does that a lot, can you tell??
and FYI, he took up Gardening/Landscaping while in the Convent; he didn't wanna stay there and not contribute
So, he's pulling a till... I guess

Yeah... um.... I gotta say, it's probably one of my favourite OCxCannon pairing EVER! Why? Because it doesn't disrupt the story AT ALL and doesn't alter the character's personality JUST to coincide with the OC... it's hard to pull off, but the few that do it right manage to tie it into the story very, very well and make it a character with a little bit of depth and is overall just... a wonderful piece of goodness.

I honestly imagine Jean telling Nina something like the chapter said, on their wedding night.
"I have...never been a...lover...or...a husband..." he looks down in shame,embarrassed about it or something.
But Nina takes his face tenderly into her hands, and kisses him gently, not sure what she could say to make him feel better, but the kiss works lol.

Again, it helps to reference the book a little
This idea came from the chapter when Valjean was going to see Fantine but... didn't know what to do or say 'cause he didn't have Cosette...
He can't tell her that her daughter isn't there; the truth will kill her.
But, he can't tell a lie either.
Sister Simplice is like, "What are you going to do?"
He was teetering on answering "I don't know" but said, "God will inspire us"
HAVE HER SAY THAT TO HIM!
some may think t preachy, but the book was written in 1862 with Catholicism being regularly practiced, so, trying to be true to the source material A LITTLE BIT!

and I am SO thankful you know the book so well actually! You're helping me get a better grip of what Nina would say and do! I also thought about when Jean is undressing, and he's afraid of Nina will think of his prison scars. I should write it out some time, it was sweeeet.
Jean's just...so ashamed of the time he served and scars all over his body from it, and Nina at first looked horified, and Jean is certain that she is disgusted and appalled at the fact the he ever was a prisoner. But then she walks up to him, and begins to tuch the scars, and she begins to sob. she then crumples against his bare chest, just weeping. her heart is broken that he endured so much, and she just starts whispering in sorrow "Oh, Jean. I am so sorry this happened to you...I am so sorry." and she just holds him. Jean is shocked at first at her reaction, but then he holds her back, and tries to shush her, calming her and telling her it's alright.
"You're here now, Nina." he whispers. "I am no longer suffering...because you are here."
