Aaand I have 2 more Les Mis pieces to go!

While, I'm not... too happy with how Valjean's arm came out... I'm happy with everything else... despite the... tragedy of this moment
After a long series of unfortunate events, the humble, beautiful Fantine, in an effort to get money to pay for care for her child (though that money is in the hands of selfish jerk-wads who use that money for themselves )... she ends up losing everything:
she loses her hair, her teeth, her physical health, her faith in the kindness of humanity... just... everything; this world has beat her down through NO fault of her own
And just as her life begins to ebb away due to tuberculosis, Jean Valjean (under the guise of Mr. Madeline, mayor of the town) offers her warmth, comfort, understanding and a promise... that he will take care of her child.
He promises that her child will be happy and healthy... he gives her a kindness she never knew before

In the movie musical, she dies in peace... after relaying a message to her daughter of how much she loves her and that she'll see her after she rests... she rests and doesn't wake up.

Valjean then closes her eyes with his fingers and kisses her forehead mournfully

Gah, that ALWAYS broke my heart but at the same time... made me feel happy for her... she finally got some respite and was shown kindness!
