Description So the legend of George and the Dragon is famous in England, with George being the patron saint of the country.

But, I was drawn to drawing a kickass heroine and I was really driven to make a female version of St George & the Dragon! Random I know, but, humour me. I like drawing girls better anyway!

I had lots of fun drawing this. Its taken a heck of a long time though! 22 hours from start to finish. Yeowch! Still, it was 22 hours well spent. I of course see areas where I could improve and so I definitely wish to better this piece in future. However, I am proud of it, I think especially the background because I find them so hard to draw and I really tried my best with this one.

I'll be entering this piece in the Rising Stars of 2011 competition run by Imagine FX so... wish me luck! <3

Enjoy!

Meg

Woooha O: This looks awesome! J'et adore the details hahah maan, the scales and the chainmail musta taken ages. But it's really worth it! I love how you've even got some greeny-grass reflections on the boots, haha. The details really make this piece <: And that plait, so neat!

I really like how the dragon looks, all snarly n' stuff, but that said, Georgina looks kinda static in comparison? She's just standin there. IT KINDA WORKS for this piece and it would take WAY too long to redraw her hahah but it's something to think about in the future - more dynamic poses perhaps? It can add a lot to a piece!

Still, this is really really awesome and the detail is phenomenal O: EVERY TIME I SEE YOU do great stuff like this and remember you bein' a fourteen year old drawing for Neopets and I think "SHE'S COME SO FAR ;-;" /proud parent. Anyway yeah uh. THIS LOOKS really good and GOOD LUCK for the contest! :D

Thank you so much!

I feel the same about about Georgina... It was kind of meant to be her coming upon some bad guy and being all awesome and imposing right before she kicks their ass. But I think an action shot would have been cooler.... Must draw more action poses!

Haha I know what you mean, everytime you post I think right back to our first crappy drawings (that we were so proud of!) and am amazed at how far you've come too!

Thanks haha! Don't diss her sword! Its not the size, it's how you use it! She could still kick ass lol.

oh yeah, that phrase. I think that's in reference to something else though. A metaphorical sword, haha.
