This is fascinating. I saw the other daisy pic and was put off because I thought I could see fingers holding it. It appeared as though the inclusion of those fingers was a mistake because there was so little of them showing.
But this is a really different affair. The inclusion of the "holders" fingers here give this a really different feeling and a human connection which I love. The lighting through the blinds is a great touch and the B&W theme finnishes this piece off very well.

Thank you Jake, I am really pleased with the way this one turned out. I did include the fingers intentionally in both shots as I wanted to try to show some DOF but I burned them down a bit so as not to distract from the shadows on the petals which I really liked. This one just shouted b&w with the lines from the blinds. Thanks mate I really appreciate your comment!

Maybe making the fingers more obvious would not have confused me. If you make a statement in a picture sometimes it can be more obvious to you than it needs to be for the viewer. I think the statement in both these shots was a really good descision. I love the inclusion of the fingers.
