Description
Those of you who know me should know by now that I don't draw fan art often. The only fan art I usually draw is of my friends' characters. However, sometimes I can't resist and manage to throw a character in if it fits the composition and the mood of the picture.I did not originally plan to throw Kermit in this picture, but halfway though the drawing I just knew I had to.
Kermit the Frog (c) Jim Henson, Disney, and probably someone/something else I'm forgetting.

I am just in aww of how wonderful this picture is. T_T It's so sad Jim isn't alive. Even though Kirmit is all alone, he is happy playing his banjo and singing. <3 I love the tone and coloring, almost like a painting. So beautiful. T_T

I think Rowlf was a favorite of mine too and Statler and Waldorf. XD My dad's favorite was the Swedish Chef. He'd often imitate him. XD;

Kermit's no longer Disney - that broke up long ago - he went German for a while until Brian Henson and company bought back the company.

Are you sure? I thought for sure The Walt Disney Company bought the Muppets in 2004 (Not including Fraggle Rock, Sesame Workshop, and other things). I haven't heard of any breakup or anything since then.

Sorry about that - I forgot that they patched up their differences in 2004! I was remembering the mess there was back in '89 at the time of Jim's death when both Disney and Sony claimed ownership of them. But you are indeed correct - Disney purchased them at that time.

Considering muppets.com is a Disney site, I'd say Disney owns the rights. Although the boxset that I own doesn't say it belongs to Disney, it does say that it's distributed by Buena Vista, which is definitely Disney. :B
Says various wikis, Brian Henson owns The Jim Henson Company henson.com but the website does not list The Muppets boxsets in its store, whereas it does list Fraggle Rock.
