Description Beware the communist attack squid!

More efficient and deadly than any nuclear attack submarine, the CCCP Squid was the most top-secret Soviet military project. It was able to sneak through all detection nets and lay waste to entire cities with its enormous, hooked, ray-gun tentacles. Just before its debut, the Soviet Union split up. The former glory of the CCCP Squid has vanished, and it is reduced to hiding behind rocks when the tourists come looking for it.

Any chance inspired by Red Alert 2?

The Soviets had a Squid that was undetectable apart from by Allied Dolphins, was weird.

Love it anyway, good job.

Hehe, no, I hadn't even heard of that! Sounds similar, though. That means they must actually exist. >_>

This has me laughing like crazy. A good friend of mine who moved to the USA from Russia joined the military and is now in Afghanistan. I knitted him a communist squid doll to send to him, and it's blowing my mind that someone else had the same idea. Great minds and all that ^__^

Aww! With that eye (...viewport...?), it looks almost cute!! I just saw a great documentary about these creatures, and it was fascinating: this one resembles the giant squid that are seldom actually seen (but they had some wonderful footage in that special!); did you know they can phosphoresce--make colors and light "strobe" along the entire length of their bodies? Ever so cool! I love the colors and light in this--very pretty! And I hope he doesn't always have to hide behind rocks!

Thankya! I can't remember if I've posted many here yet, but I've arted lots of cephalopods. I'd love to see that documentary! There are a lot of deep-sea squids that do that strobing phosphorescense thing - it's amazing.

If creatures on our own planet are so weird, just think how aliens must look!
