What I like about this is that it doesn't glamorise the Countess. As there is no evidence she thought the blood preserved her beauty, I find it irritating (although understandable) that that is the fixation of her, yet this image shows the cruelty turned into normalcy. The complete nonchalant sadism of her, and I love that. A truly wonderful piece!

I love how simple this is. If it wasn't 'blood' she's bathing in she could be any woman at her bath. It looks to me like we've barged in and disturbed her bathing. It's such an ordinary picture that you can almost ignore the blood. She could be any woman bathing any where. But then there's something in the eyes, a subtle knowledge, a hint that some thing isn't right. The model's expression is perfect to me. Despite her being drenched in blood I find this to be surprisingly tasteful and subtle. And I love the lighting but I should shut up here cause I'm just blathering on and on xD;

It is (El-chebet) the ch sounds like Sh. And her last name is
(Bato-ry) Short A.
I thought I would include this since

Have you seen the movie Stay Alive? Its based off a video game, it a horror movie... but it tells of the Lady Elizabeth Bathory story... Excellent movie... After the movie I had to get the book about her... Very interesting, but disturbing reading. The model you choose looks alot like the lady in the movie. The pictues you took are Beautifully Done!!!
